Promotions & Discounts Part 1
- Use Money Central from the Setup menuitem in the top ribbon and choose the discount tab
- The three primary types of Promotion groups are: Quantity Discount Methods, Promotion Codes, and Order-wide discounts
- Promotions can be based on sales groups for products or on customer groups
- Promo codes is the most popular and easy to use method
- Many ways to define a promotion including usage parameters and limitations as well as expiration date
- Percentage discount or fixed amount discount
- Designate certain products qualifying for promotions
- Target special customer groups such as VIP or Wholesale customers (you define)
- Target domestic, international, retail or wholesale as an example
